Rotting in fields of shadow,
Worm-covered rust deer
And cats with eyes of opal
Birds flying overhead
To sing corvid gene hymns
To the valley of the dead.
She is the sea to me
Moon-covered ocean
Primordial mother of the forest.
I stand guard against the rain
Letting it immerse me
By your side forevermore.
Caress me like a fawn under noble glades
To soothe my aching heart in pain
Forest runners in iron gates
To relax the mind’s unholy truth
Sunlight penetrates my skin
Eternal crying
Down in the drain I am flowing through tunnels of death
To be reborn once again in spiral light.
See not the forest for mere trees,
But as a state of nature wild.
Never forget God’s radiant blessing.
